Are You Afraid To Fall In Love?

An Inspiring Challenge to Those Men and Women Who

Are Forever Running Away From One of the Deepest

and Most Enduring Satisfactions That Life Can Give!

Afraid To Fall In LoveYou never saw anyone less like the traditional idea of an old maid than Jennifer. Though, she’s nearly twenty-seven, she looks three or four years younger, and she’s lovely enough to be followed by admiring glances any time she appears in public.

What’s more, hers is the lasting sort of beauty that reflects health and vitality. In fact, she has never had a sick day in her lift. Yet she is unmarried, and is likely to remain so unless something altogether unexpected happens.

It is not because there’s anything strange or repulsive about her, and it certainly is not for lack of “chances.” To my knowledge, Jennifer has had offers from a wide variety of types of men - upstanding young men headed for a business career, at least one talented artist, and a couple of mature types who were wealthy enough to have given her every luxury a girl could wish for.

She has even been engaged three times, but always found some reason to break the engagement when the time came to set a date for the wedding.

You see… Jennifer is what I call a “love-coward.”

She likes men… and gets a real “kick” out of the fact that so many men have loved her, but she’s never found one she herself could fall in love with.

Her own explanation is that she has never met a man that she felt she could trust, and while she agrees in theory that marriage is the best life for a woman (which is why she tried out being engaged) the idea of putting her life in a man’s hands frightens her so badly that she cannot get herself to go through with a wedding.

Their are more people like Jennifer than you might imagine, although the complete love-coward is perhaps more common among men.
